Join us for an amazing cause for an outstanding young lady!!
Sopheyah is a strong and resilient 14-year-old girl from Harrisburg who is fighting a rare and aggressive tumor caused by the SDHB gene mutation. In the past year, she has endured two major surgeries at Mayo Clinic — one lasting 18 hours and another 15 hours — after tumors grew in her brain, skull, and neck. These surgeries left her deaf in one ear, with complete right-side facial paralysis, and unable to eat or drink on her own. She now depends on a feeding tube and is preparing for at least five weeks of proton radiation in Rochester.
Despite everything she has gone through — pain, uncertainty, hospital stays, and constant trips between South Dakota and Minnesota — Sophie continues to show incredible bravery. Her smile, her spirit, and her fight inspire everyone around her. This benefit is being held to support Sopheyah and help her family with medical expenses, travel costs, and the daily needs that come with caring for a child in such a difficult battle.
