You are warmly invited to join us for our Sunday Service on March 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM for a reflective gathering centered on the sermon “The Importance of Fasting as a Spiritual Practice.” Across many religious traditions, fasting is understood as a way to cultivate mindfulness, discipline, and deeper spiritual awareness. In Christianity, fasting has long been practiced during seasons such as Lent as a means of prayer, repentance, and drawing closer to God; in Islam, the holy month of Ramadan calls Muslims to fast from dawn to sunset as an act of devotion, self-restraint, and compassion for those in need. Fasting also appears in Judaism on holy days such as Yom Kippur, and in Buddhist and Hindu traditions as a practice of simplicity, clarity, and spiritual focus. Join us as we explore how fasting, in its many forms, invites reflection, gratitude, and a renewed connection to what truly sustains our lives.
