Rob Oliver is a Hampton Roads-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends blues, rock, and Americana with soul and sincerity. A seasoned performer, Rob plays both solo and with his band, Rob Oliver & The Attractors, delivering engaging sets that mix heartfelt original songs with reimagined covers from across decades and genres.
He’s been a steady force in the local scene for over 25 years. His debut album, Highs & Lows & Blues (2020), earned critical praise and local award nods. In 2021, he teamed up with fellow musician Brent Gable to form The Oliver Gable Project, a blues-rooted collaboration that won the 2022 Veer Music Award for Best Blues.
Rob is also a touring member of Evil Woman – The American ELO, a high-energy, multimedia concert experience celebrating the music of Electric Light Orchestra. Known for its lush harmonies, orchestral rock sound, and visual spectacle, the show has taken Rob to stages across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Iowa.
When performing around Hampton Roads, Rob brings a versatile mix of originals and crowd-favorite covers to local venues, private events, and festivals—always delivering a set tailored to the vibe and the room. Offstage, he shares his passion for music as a private instructor, teaching guitar, harmonica, ukulele, and bass.
