Obituary: Tornisha Yvonne Womack, age 49 of VA Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Durham, North Carolina, on March 7th, 1976, to Billy Ray Moses and Carolyn (Grantham) Moses. Tornisha graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 1994. After high school, she joined the U.S Navy and honorably served for three years. She also served as a caregiver and medical administrative assistant for most of her working years. She received an associate degree in Medical Administration from Bryant and Stratton College.
Tornisha will forever be remembered for the warmth of her smile, the love she had for her children, and her devotion to God. She is survived by her parents, brother Billy Moses, two daughters, Alyssa Simpkins, wife of Christian Simpkins, Jayla Graham, and two sons, Jordan Graham and Javon Graham, two granddaughters, Aaliyah Martin, and one on the way, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
