The 2nd Annual Red Skelton Comedy Convention celebrates rural humor with, "Clem Goes to Hooterville"! Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the TV show Green Acres.
Friday July 18th the Convention kicks off with the Brian "Red Skelton" Hoffman Tribute Show at7:30 PM
On Saturday morning enjoy a narrated bus tour of Red Skelton sites around town followed by the 20th annual Red Skelton Shrine and Clown parade in Downtown Vincennes at 11:00 AM
Back at the Red Skelton Museum, talks about Frank Inn, the animal trainer on both Green Acres and Petticoat Junction and Vincennes native, Alvy Moore from Green Acres fame will entertain and inform.
Don't miss the amazingly talented duo of Jeff and Carrie Ketterman as Lucy and Desi in the beautiful Red Skelton theater at 3:00 PM
The day will conclude with a dinner with Mrs. Lothian Skelton at 5:30 followed by the hilarious comedy of Bob Nelson with Lucy and Desi back to open the show at7:30 PM.
Sunday will have another opportunity for the Red Skelton sites tour at 10 AM followed by a film fest featuring
Texas Carnival at 11 AM and
My LIfe as A Robot the Robot: The Robert Shields story at 1:00 PM
Comedy Convention buttons are only $7 and include museum admission all three days and admission to the talks, the Lucy and Desi afternoon show and the film fest. All other events have separate ticket prices.
