There is a saying, “Choose the career you believe is worth making sacrifices for, because you will”. We seek to hire colleagues who demonstrate ownership, high accountability, and a leadership mindset. However, we don't frequently talk that all of these come with a price-tag: emotional load, personal time, and continuous pressure. This raises important questions: Can there be too much ownership? Is there a healthy "stop" boundary? What are the limits of accountability we can reasonably expect from an employee? When do ownership and leadership begin to cause harm?
Conversely, one often hears the advice, "It's not your business, why bother? Do what you are paid for. Prioritize life, balance." And this perspective explains why there are no traffic jams on “extra miles”.
One of the most compelling questions for this event is how leaders are formed. What shapes their personal boundaries and values? How do they choose ambition, and how do they recognize when it becomes unhealthy? What about their approach to ownership, and what accountability boundaries do they accept? How do they forge a path where none exists?
This time, we will have fewer speakers and more time for incredible leaders to share their stories. They will discuss ownership, accountability, and the boundaries of their choices, along with how they navigate these challenges.
