The Villa Park/Lombard D45 PTA Council is excited to sponsor our 18th Annual Just For Fun 5K Run in memory of Bonnie Scahill, a former PE teacher in District 45. Students, teachers, and their families are invited to lace up their shoes, hit the Prairie Path, and join us for a fun community event! We hope you will also encourage your friends, family, and other community members to participate in this year’s run.

Schedule: 7:00-7:45 am: Race day registration and packet pick-up
8:00 am: Group pictures by school
8:30 am: 5K Start Time
9:30 am: 1 Mile Kids Fun Run (Kindergarten-5th Grade only)
Location: Villa Park Gazebo on the Prairie Path at Central & Ardmore Avenues
Early Registration (ends 7/30/25): 5K: Adults (+18) $25, Kids $20 | 1 Mile - $15
Registration: 5K: Adults (+18) $30, Kids $25 | 1 Mile - $20
Race Day Registration Fee (Includes T-shirt if available): 5K -Adults $35, Kids $30 1 Mile Kids Fun Run - $25
Participants who register by Sunday, August 31st will receive a bag with items from local businesses, a race day schedule & map, and a race t-shirt. The race bags will also contain the runner’s bib number which should be worn on race day. Race bags will be delivered to the school and sent home with each child. If you aren't associated with a school, you can pick up your race bag and bib on race day morning. The top 20 - 5K finishers will be recognized during an awards ceremony before the 1-Mile Kids Run.
The funds raised by this event will go directly back to our students and will be distributed to the PTAs to help enhance their programs. This is a wonderful event to support health and wellness in our community. To be part of this spectacular event, register here:
