Pianist, vocalist, composer, producer Douglas Pashley returns to Victoria for an intimate trio concert featuring long-time musical collaborator bassist Scott White and new friend, drummer Kelby MacNayr.
Expect a refreshing blend of standards and compelling originals with the stellar pianist and vocalist and entertainer Doug Pashley at the helm!
Influenced by Oscar Peterson and Billy Joel, Pashley brings a deep rooted swing, musical alchemy and irreverence in service of a powerful connection with the audience.
Douglas Pashley began his musical training at the Royal Conservatory aged four. He continued his studies at Malaspina College of Jazz, then complemented his studies in classical composition and conducting at the University of Victoria. He completed his formal education in orchestration and composition with the renowned Cuban composer Sergio Barroso.

Scott White is a virtuoso bassist who has performed in numerous musical traditions from around the world. A former Musical Director for Cirque de Soleil in Germany, White returned to Canada's West Coast as is in demand for groups led by legendary guitarist Marc Atkinson, The Bills, Attila Fias, and many others.
Drummer Kelby MacNayr has made a name for himself performing across North America with the likes of George Colligan, Louise Rose, John Clayton, Ian McDougall and more! A celebrated drummer in all styles and highly regarded composer and band leader, MacNayr treasures most the connection of the spirit of the music between the performers and the audience.
