Environmental change in the Arctic over recent decades is increasingly at the center of international interest and debate. This interest has highlighted the fact that the Arctic region has served as a barometer to climate change. Arctic Indigenous Peoples not only feel the impacts of current and future changes, but through their intimate knowledge of the Arctic environment, they are playing an important role in understanding these transformations. Exchange for Local Observations and Knowledge of the Arctic (ELOKA) has been providing platform for community-led observations across the Arctic including Greenland and PISUNA-Net Local Observations database. The guests will share stories of their observations of change in the Arctic and reflections on collaborative work.
