Activity Name: 5-Day Summer Youth Combined Camp - Optical Illusions and Drawing with Pastels

Recommended Ages: 9 through teen

Dates: Monday through Friday August 4-8 from 12:30-4:30pm (Includes 30 minute break each class for lunch)

Activity Description: We are excited to offer several youth art camps this summer. In this combined half-day program students will receive step-by instruction in how to draw optical illusions and beautiful artwork using soft pastels. From 12:30 to 2pm students will attend the optical illusions class where they will learn how to make eye-catching designs using techniques which create depth and perspective. They will then have a 30-minute lunch break (please bring a bagged lunch). From 2:30-4:30pm participants will attend the Drawing with Pastels class learning the basics of drawing as they make beautiful artwork using soft pastels.

More Information: Stilettos offers unique and fun camps for children throughout the year. Our programs are geared for adolescent children wishing to explore the world of art. We teach simple and fun projects that encourage self-expression education and fundamental art skills. Students will learn a variety of art mediums in these programs with a wonderful instructor. We often include educational pieces in our programs to help expand the mind as well as the heart.

This age group is very creative and their imaginations are limitless. We encourage them to express their unique imaginations and teach them how to do so through art. 

Our main goal is to foster expressive creativity and build self-confidence all while having fun. We help children to grow and use their wonderful imaginations in an unlimited way. 

Each session is 3.5 hours (4 hours total with lunch) long for a total of 17.5 hours of instruction over the full camp. Students must register at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that drop-ins are not available - students must register for all 5 sessions.
