Women interested in potentially joining AAUW and becoming members of the Bluegrass Central Branch are invited to attend.
This is a fun and casual gathering in the early evening, and is catered with light refreshments. It is the perfect way to meet AAUW members, mingle, and hear more details about the AAUW/BGC’s organization. Our mission since 1881 is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. AAUW is a non-profit and non-partisan organization across the nation and in Kentucky.
BGC is a very active branch. We hold monthly chapter meetings, have monthly social activities, and frequent civic events thru out the year. We support a yearly scholarship program, the WC Library, and other local, non-profit organizations.
Members must have an Associate Degree or greater, to be eligible to join AAUW.
