Beachland Elementary PTA’s Annual Read-A-Thon fundraiser kicks off September 5th, 2025! You are invited to join your child and their classmates as we host an outdoor family reading event! Each grade level has their own half hour reading time.
Pre-K: 2:30-3:00 pm
Kindergarten: 9:10-9:40 am
1st Grade & VE: 9:45-10:15 am
2nd Grade: 10:20-10:50 am
3rd Grade: 12:40-1:10 pm
4th Grade: 11:15-11:45 pm
5th Grade: 1:30-2:00 pm

* Students may come to school dressed up in a Literacy Costume! No masks or weapons please.
Pre-K - 2nd Grade: Dress as your favorite book character, or join a group of friends and dress in coordinating "Rhyme Without a Reason" costumes, like "Full Moon & Balloon," or "Reader & Cheerleader."
3rd - 5th Grade: Figurative language costumes - Similes, Metaphors, Hyperbole, Personification , etc. like Butterflies in your stomach, or I'm all ears. Or join a group and dress in "Rhyme Without a Reason" costumes.
* Make sure to arrive early to your child’s designated reading session. Blankets welcomed!
* Enter through the Media Center gate and head to the Hardcourt. All students will attend their designated grade level reading time.
* Each reading session will begin with a grade level Literacy Costume Parade around the hardcourt!
* Book Drive: Bring gently used or new books to donate to our Book Machine.
