Spring Into Summer Windsurfer LT Regatta

Six weeks until Windsurfer Class racing returns to New Jersey.
Old school sailboarding lives on in both Ocean and Sussex counties.
This first annual Bayview Park Windsurfer One Design Regatta is gonna be a blast. As you head out of the cove and across the channel, there exists Sand Island, an unexposed sand bar where we can score races from if needed. A triangle course with 1/2 mile legs will be within a 1 mile x 2 mile, less travelled area of upper Little Egg Harbor.
Long distance can find you sailing around Egg, Ham and High Islands.
And then there’s Freestyle!

The following weekend finds the second annual Spring Into Summer regatta in Highland Lakes. Frontal passages seem to hit the mountains and funnel wind into this 2 1/2 mile by 1/2 mile lake which has produced many competitive sailors. Windsurfing is one of five sailing fleets at the Highland Lakes Country Club. Course racing at its best, on the highest lake community in NJ.
