You are cordially invited to the Brownhelm Historical Association’s “Old Fashioned Christmas Tree Lighting” on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
At 5:00 p.m you can gather outside around a fire for a while or come inside the Historic Brownhelm School & Museum gym for refreshments, caroling, and socializing. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies plus a visit from Santa Claus! Santa arrives at 6:00 p.m. to visit and take pictures. We will proceed outdoors for the Tree Lighting at 6:30 p.m. as we sing and warm ourselves by the fire.
Please join us for a festive evening to begin the holiday season. Bring your family and enjoy gathering with others as we get in the holiday spirit! Everyone is invited!
Donations: The BHA is more than just history and wants to be a part of reaching out. This year at our Christmas Tree Lighting, the Brownhelm Historical Association is collecting items for both a new Little Free Food Pantry to be placed at the Brownhelm School as well as once again asking for donations for Road to Hope. See the following lists for appropriate items to donate for either or both causes:

What is Road to Hope? Road to Hope, Inc. is a drug and alcohol free, 501(c3) residential facility on Lake Road. This new facility is located adjacent to Brown’s Lake Road Cemetery. The renovated apartments at Road to Hope provide an abstinence-based, twelve-step environment within which the addicted person receives support, guidance, and faith necessary to become a productive member of society, while living a regimen of daily sobriety. Personal Responsibility is at the heart of the program. They provide a cost-effective housing solution and atmosphere guided by the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. Successful residents reintegrate happier, healthier, and committed to the twelve-step way of living as they return to their families, society, and the twelve-step community. For more information, you can visit: www.road-to-hope.org.
