Location: Studio #4 at Pacific & Main Creative Workspace in Ventura, CA

Explore landscape painting in traditional oil paint from artist Gabriel Islas at his studio space in Ventura. Gabriel will walk students through foundational techniques to provide the confidence in interpretating nature to create beautiful works of art. Concepts in color theory, atmospheric perspective, form building, paint mixing and application will provide the "guard rails" to keep painters feeling informed. Gabriel will provide lecture, demos and feedback. A reference photo will be provided, however students may bring their own.
