The Ventura Pottery Guild invites you to attend its 4th Annual Bowl of Thanks and Pottery Market November 8 & 9 from 10 - 5. The event will be held at the Ventura Harbor and proceeds from the Bowl of Thanks will be donated to Food Share Ventura who feed 267,000 hungry Ventura County residents annually. The bowls are donated by members of the Guild, local colleges and schools. They can be purchased for a $25 donation at the Ventura Pottery Gallery. In addition to your favorite bowl from the hundreds available, you will receive a punch card to take to participating Harbor restaurants for FREE food samples to taste cuisine from some of Ventura Harbor Village’s best eateries. Supplies will be limited to 300 each day so come early! With this event, everybody WINS.
“Last year our potters donated over 600 bowls and we were able to donate over $16,000 to Food Share. This year we hope to exceed that amount. Potters have a unique way of giving back to the community and we are pleased that we can work with Ventura Harbor to make this happen,” said President of the Ventura County Potters’ Guild Stacy Rowe.
Wait, there is more. Handcrafted ceramics will be available for sale from local potters at the Ventura Pottery Market outside and around the Harbor and inside in the Pottery Gallery. This is a great opportunity to start your gift buying for the upcoming holidays. Over 40 potters will be represented creating a wide selection of traditional, sculptural, holiday-themed and whimsical pottery. There is always something for everyone!
The Ventura Pottery Gallery is located at 1567 Spinnaker Drive, Suite 105 in Ventura Harbor. The Gallery is open seven days a week from 11-6.
The Ventura County Potters’ Guild, a non-profit founded in 1957, continues its mission of promoting ceramic arts through the Gallery, workshops, and monthly meetings.
