Visite guidate mattutine alla mostra

🗓️ Sabato 4 ottobre, in occasione della Giornata del Contemporaneo promossa da AMACI, organizziamo una serie di visite guidate tematiche delle installazioni di Nadia Huggins e Tessa Mars, parte della mostra "otras montañas, las que andan sueltas bajo el agua".

La mostra, curata da Yina Jiménez Suriel, esplora l’improvvisazione~freestyle e il suo utilizzo per trascendere la prospettiva terrestre, reimmaginare i sistemi di supporto alla vita e confrontarsi con le nozioni di potere e controllo radicate in strutture binarie e stabili.

Le visite guidate in italiano, condotte dai/lle mediatori/trici di Ocean Space, approfondiranno gli aspetti artistici delle installazioni e alcune delle tematiche storiche e culturali legate ad esse.

La mattina, dalle ore 12:00 alle 13:00, sarà possibile partecipare a due visite:

🔹 Voci dall’acqua: Nadia Huggins e altre risonanze sonore a Ocean Space | con Anna Mazzon

A partire dall'installazione di Nadia Huggins e dal soundscape composto con Diego Raposo, si approfondirà la componente sonora nelle opere presentate a Ocean Space dal 2019 a oggi, offrendo inoltre una breve analisi delle peculiarità acustiche della chiesa di San Lorenzo.

🔹 Tessa Mars: le montagne sopra e sotto la superficie | con Alice Poli

Le stratificazioni delle montagne custodiscono la storia degli oceani. Tessa Mars indaga il rapporto tra terra e acqua, soffermandosi sul concetto di confine e sulla sua restituzione artistica attraverso un’esplorazione visiva del limine tra gli elementi. Verranno messi in luce i modi in cui l’artista traduce questi paesaggi di transizione in forme che parlano di identità, memoria e appartenenza.

🗓️ Saturday, October 4, on the occasion of the Giornata del Contemporaneo promoted by AMACI, we are organizing a series of thematic guided tours of the installations by Nadia Huggins and Tessa Mars, part of the exhibition "otras montañas, las que andan sueltas bajo el agua".

Curated by Yina Jiménez Suriel, the exhibition explores improvisation~freestyle and its use to transcend the terrestrial perspective, reimagine systems of life support, and engage with notions of power and control rooted in binary and stable structures.

The guided tours in italian, led by Ocean Space mediators, will delve into the artistic aspects of the installations, as well as some of the historical and cultural themes associated with them.

In the morning, from 12 to 1pm, visitors can take part in two tours:

🔹 Voci dall’acqua: Nadia Huggins e altre risonanze sonore a Ocean Space | with Anna Mazzon

Starting from Nadia Huggins’ installation and the soundscape composed with Diego Raposo, this tour will explore the sonic component in the works presented at Ocean Space from 2019 to today, also offering a brief analysis of the acoustic peculiarities of the Church of San Lorenzo.

🔹 Tessa Mars: le montagne sopra e sotto la superficie | with Alice Poli

The stratifications of mountains preserve the history of the oceans. Tessa Mars investigates the relationship between land and water, focusing on the concept of boundaries and their artistic representation through a visual exploration of the threshold between elements. The tour will highlight the ways in which the artist translates these transitional landscapes into forms that speak of identity, memory, and belonging.
