Gratis toegankelijk openlucht salsa-festival georganiseerd door Dansschool Salsapati i.s.m. CityFest Veldhoven.
Voor restaurant D'n Burgemister, Meiveld 3A te Veldhoven kun je deze middag genieten van zang- en dansoptredens van o.a
– Live optreden van Salsaband MASALSA
– Salsa workshop van dansschool Salsapati o.l.v. Lea (14.00 uur)
- Dansshow studententeam o.l.v. Tania & Jorge

En natuurlijk…. lekker losgaan op de mooie houten dansvloer (10x10m) en dansen op heerlijke salsa, bachata, chacha en andere Latin muziek die gedraaid wordt door DJ Aldair.
Hoogtepunt deze middag is natuurlijk het spetterende live optreden van MASALSA
De in 1994 opgerichte formatie Masalsa is een moderne latin band die de meest swingende Zuid Amerikaanse muziekstijlen ten gehore brengt.
De bandleden zijn grotendeels afkomstig uit Zuid-Amerika en het Caraïbisch gebied. De naam Masalsa is een samensmelting van de woorden masala (hete kerrie) en salsa (saus).
Masalsa staat dan ook garant voor een pittig en gevarieerd repertoire waarin o.a. Puerto Ricaanse, Cubaanse en Dominicaanse klanken de revue passeren. Masalsa beschikt over een ijzersterke blazerssectie, een dynamische ritmesectie en stralende vocalen waardoor het repertoire op een eigentijdse manier wordt uitgevoerd.
Dat Masalsa de ambassadeur is van de salsa in Nederland bewijzen de vele optredens op diverse festivals en podia.
Ook als je nog niet kunt dansen, kun je hier de basispasjes leren tijdens de salsa workshop voor beginners
die door Lea wordt verzorgd om. 14.00 uur

And of course…. let loose on the beautiful wooden dance floor (10x10m) and dance to delicious salsa, bachata, chacha and other Latin music played by DJ Aldair.
The highlight of the afternoon is, of course, the dazzling live performance by MASALSA.
Founded in 1994, Masalsa is a modern Latin band that performs the most swinging South American music styles.
The band members are largely from South America and the Caribbean. The name Masalsa is a fusion of the words masala (hot curry) and salsa (sauce).
Masalsa guarantees a spicy and varied repertoire that includes Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Dominican sounds. Masalsa boasts a powerful brass section, a dynamic rhythm section, and radiant vocals, ensuring their repertoire is performed in a contemporary way.
Masalsa's numerous performances at various festivals and venues prove their status as the ambassador of salsa in the Netherlands.
