Curious about how you can use your phone to explore the world around you?
Join our volunteer at the Pond at 12:00pm to learn more about how to use your phone as a tool to identify plants, animals, insects, and more! This will be a training on how to use iNaturalist and Seek by iNaturalist. These are both apps that are available for Android and iPhone. You do not need to download both apps, but you are welcome to download both if you want to. These apps are a great resource for learning about all sorts of living things you see, from cities to the wilderness.
Please have the iNaturalist app, Seek, or both apps downloaded on your phone before you arrive. The Seek app does not require an account, but the iNaturalist app does, so please have an account set up before you get here and make sure you are logged in. The Natural Area has no cell service, so you will not be able to download them after you get here. Make sure to charge your phone!
The Pond is a one-mile hike from the parking lot, so please bring water and be prepared for the approximately 45 minute hike to the meeting area.
