Reflections on Porcelain - a solo exhibition by Nico Conti

Reflections on Porcelain is a solo exhibition by Maltese artist Nico Conti, taking place at the Malta Society of Arts from 25 September to 23 October 2025. Through five conceptually distinct rooms, the exhibition traces Conti’s evolving relationship with porcelain as both material and metaphor. Drawing from personal memory, literary influence, and years of technical refinement, the artist presents porcelain not only as a craft but as a vehicle for narrative, emotion, and transformation. Conti uses 3D-printed porcelain – combining traditional techniques with digital innovation – to challenge the perception of ceramics as purely decorative. The exhibition highlights the emotional and psychological depth of working with porcelain, encouraging reflection on care, memory, and artistic vulnerability.
