The Pentacle of the Great Turning: Magic, Desire & Transformation

The Pentacle of the Great Turning is a tool, developed by activist witches, that offers us an access point to create magic and change as part of what the great ecophilosopher and teacher Joanna Macy called "the greatest adventure of our time."

This great adventure is the very real transformation from the industrial growth society-- built on environmental destruction, patriarchy, racism, and colonialization -- towards living in a way, both personally and collectively, that is harmonious with the systems of life on this planet and based on the collective good, equality, collaboration, cooperation, peace, and an inherent understanding of each individual's unique magical contribution to the greater whole.

The Pentacle of the Great Turning invites us to feel our deepest desires for the earth and ourselves, the heartbreak and grief about the challenges we face now, and hope and possibility for a beautiful future, with the active guidance and blessings of our ancestors and descendants. We'll move through states of apathy and fear into forward momentum.

By doing this work, we will clarify how we want to invest our energy, time, and magic into the Great Turning and cultivate a daily experience of more meaning, more belonging, more connection, more magic, contentment, and well-being-- instead of burnout and exhaustion.

Together, using trance, meditation, energy work, song, devotional practice, plant and time magic, we will explore the points of:

YES, we're all the way in Vallejo. We are committed gathering with our witches, and are happy to offer one carpool pickup / drop-off from the El Cerrito Del Norte Bart and one from the ferry station in Vallejo for those who are coming from further afield.

Prerequisites: Elements of Magic or experience in the Reclaiming Tradition of WItchcraft is recommended' Please drop us a note to inquire if you have not yet taken this foundational class, as we're definitely open to having you either way.

When:

Saturday October 4th, 10am-5pm; potluck to follow for those so inclined.

Sunday October 5th, 10am-4pm

Facilitators: Riyana and Sequoia, two longtime friends and witchy collaborators who have made magic (and trouble!) in the Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft for decades.

Registration fee: $90-350 sliding scale. A $40 deposit holds your spot. Some scholarship / work trade available-- please contact us.
