Calito Franco is one of the original members of the bay area prominent Salsa Band of it's time. Since the 1970's 80's 90's and 2000's Franco Brothers Y Su Orquesta Actualidad have recorded their salsa debut album in San Juan Puerto Rico along side his brother executive producer Bismarck Franco. Calito has toured with Original Latin Rock Band "MALO" and their 1972 hit song Suavesito, written and sang by Richard Bean. From 2019 till October 2022, he was recruited by the late musical director and leader, of MALO Tony Menjivar. Calito Franco also has recorded and shared the Stage with Latin Rock Artist, the late Jorge Santana. Including Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Michael Carabello original member of The Santana Band.
Calito has shared the Stage with Jazz Rock Blues and Latin Rock Artist and original members of Janis Joplin's band, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Trumpet Player Luis Gasca. Calito has performed twice at Yoshi's Japanese restaurant at Embarcadero Jack London Square West Oakland, CA, featuring on Tumbadora worldwide percussionist "Karl Perazzo" member of The Carlos Santana Band, and Gary Flores Keyboard, on the billing.
Calito origin is from San Francisco, and has Latin Roots of Cumbia, Salsa, Bachata, Cha cha, Merengue, Bolero, and has mixed it up with R&B Latin Soul Pop, Latin Jazz.
