The 11th Annual TUC Public Health Speaker Series

The 2025 Touro University California Public Health Speaker Series continues its tradition of convening national experts to address timely and complex issues affecting community health.

This year’s series features four distinguished speakers who will examine two critical themes: (1) the rise and impact of misinformation and disinformation on public health, and (2) the health experiences of newcomers in the current political climate.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Joseph Pierre, psychiatrist and author of False, will address how misinformation, mistrust, and motivated reasoning shape health decisions and public dialogue. His work offers crucial insights into how false
narratives spread and how public health can respond.
