El Chorrador del Bosque, also known as “El Monstruo de Millares” (The Monster of Millares), is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Valencian Community, with a dramatic drop of over 60 meters. Located in the Barranco del Nacimiento near its confluence with the Júcar River, the waterfall is fed by the abundant springs of the Muela de Cortes. Reaching the base requires tackling the steep and rocky Senda de Sansón trail, making it a demanding route best suited for experienced hikers. After heavy rains, the thunderous roar of the falling water gives the cascade its monstrous nickname, said to be audible even from the village of Millares. At the foot of the waterfall lies the Tollo de Jorge, a natural pool perfect for swimming during warmer months. This natural wonder is part of the Ruta del Nacimiento, a trail declared of local tourist interest in 2019 and a must-see for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
