Rainbow Under The Scars!

Madan Mohan was one of the most melodious and gifted Music Director of Hindi film industry, whereas Raja Mehdi Ali Khan was an exceptional and soulful poet/lyricist in the last century. Last year, in 2024, Madan Mohan’s 100th birth anniversary was celebrated with much affection and nostalgia by the film fraternity. This year, on 14 July, his 50th death anniversary falls. Incidentally, on 29th July, also falls the death anniversary of Raja Mehdi Ali Khan. 

MusicOasis happily announces a GraTribute (Tribute with Gratitude) show to remember the exceptional and soul-stirring musical creations by the team of Raja Mehdi Ali Khan and Madan Mohan. In addition to listening to their songs and ghazals, the show will also include narration of this duo`s life journey, their friendship, stories of their struggles and understanding their extraordinary creations that mesmerise us even today. The show will also offer to the audience an opportunity to sing along, to be more immersive in appreciating the heavenly music by this duo. 

MusicOasis is an organisation which mainly organises tribute shows to remember and honour the great poets, music composers/directors, musicians and singers of the golden era. It aims to particularly sensitise the young generation to appreciate the beautiful retro music from 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Basically, its mission is to promote music that inspires and uplifts our lives as also lyrics that weave right thoughts in our hearts.
