SENSOR.INO is an Arduino workshop for electronic music producers, musicians but also for artists, makers and enthusiasts who want to explore the possibilities of environmental sensors in their creative workflow. Participants will be introduced to the world of analog sensors and will build a MIDI interface which will let the physical world connect to their favourite music making instrument or software.
This one-day workshop focuses on the use of various environmental sensors such as light, temperature, humidity etc.. and how to translate their values to MIDI messages: the most used communication protocol within electronic music instruments. Each participants will be provided of all the needed materials for building their interface (sensors, arduino board, boxes) and by the end of the day they’ll bring home a working prototype, ready to make music or experiment with.
