This training is non-contact and focuses on basic skating skills, like skating posture, stops, falling, balance, agility, turns, jumps, and many more!

We strongly believe roller derby is for everyone; no matter your level of fitness, gender, background or bodytype, you are welcome! Our only requirement is that you are at least 18 years before you start skating with us.

18.15 – Arrival Rookies, change & register
19.00 – Basic skating training - part 1
20.30 – Watch demo-scrimmage by the intermediates
21.00 – Information by the Officials
September 3 (Wednesday)
19:00 – Basic skating training - part 2
21:00 – Optional: Watch or assist with scrimmage

In order to play roller derby the following gear is required:
- Quad skates
- Helmet (with certification)
- Wrist protection
- Knee protection
- Elbow protection
- Mouth guard
Need to borrow stuff? We have some gear and skates available for our rookies’ first few trainings, so you don’t need to commit to buying everything before you try the sport.
We do not lend out mouth guards, so we ask you to bring your own. Please come early if you need to borrow gear and/or skates.
