Let’s explore the fundamentals of Lindy Hop once more—this time in unconventional ways.
Get ready for challenges that will test your skills, knowledge, and body awareness, making you feel like a beginner all over again. How can we switch off our autopilot and unlearn the habits that feel comfortable but may not serve us in the long run? We’ll dive into what influences your dancing and how you can take control of your own experience, becoming more aware of the subconscious decisions you make on the dance floor.
𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹—𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀!
𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘅 have been teaching at Hague Hoppers in The Hague for several years.
Recently, they started teaching together, bringing a burst of fresh energy to their classes. In 2024, they successfully organized The Mess Around, and the next edition is already knocking at their door: 9–11 January 2026, where they’ll once again pour all their love and soul into it.
Over the past few years, they’ve been traveling to festivals across Europe almost monthly—soaking up the atmosphere, fun, and party vibes wherever they could. They’ve reached the finals in several international competitions, including Lindylicious Paris, Uptown Rhythm Vilnius, and Sofia Swing.

𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:

You can often be found on the social dance floor and have attended a couple of festivals. You have a solid repertoire and feel comfortable dancing at different tempos and with different partners. You don’t shy away from playing with rhythm and syncopation and you pick up structures and choreographies quite easily.
𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥+ (𝘚𝘪𝘜 𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘺 4 & 𝘶𝘱)
You’ve been social dancing and attending festivals for years, and might teach local classes. You improvise with confidence, adapt easily to different partners, and can express musicality across a wide range of tempos. Your technique, rhythm, and creativity allow you to dance with clarity, playfulness, and individuality.
𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡:
Afterwards you can stick around to practice your new moves as the gym will be available for another hour. Of course you can also use this time to practice anything else you’d like (as long as it’s swing dance 😉). Anyone welcome!
