Soldiers of the War of 1812 Grave Marking Ceremony

The Society of the War of 1812 in the State of Ohio will be marking the grave of Colonel William Ward Jr., a leader of the Champaign County Militia in 1812. The ceremony will be held at 10am in Oak Dale Cemetery. The Ohio Society will also remember the 10 unknown Soldiers who died in Hospital between 1812 & 1814 and are buried near Colonel Ward. The Spriggs-Wing Post 5451 of the VFW will provide the Color Guard.
