---------------------------------------------------------------
If this is your first time singing in this location, here are some directions:
The School of Music is at 1114 W. Nevada Street, Urbana, but I suggest parking and entering on the north side of the building (Oregon) unless you're familiar with the building.
We'll technically be in the basement ("lower level").
There are a few ways to get to the lower level, but I'll give you the two easiest:
Option 1 (with elevator): Enter the building from Oregon Street. Go up the paved ramp, go into the building, take an immediate right, and you'll see the elevators. Take the elevator down to the lower level (LL). Take a left when you get off the elevator, take a right at the water fountain, you'll pass stairs on your right, keep going straight and take the next left into another hallway. Go down the hallway until you see a hallway to the left. Turn left and the room is the last door on the right (before you would go through the doors to the outside).
Option 2 (no elevator): Alternatively, you can enter the lower level (LL) from Oregon street. There is an entrance to the left of the building which goes down some steps. There are two building entrances, take the one to the right. Once you enter through the doors, the room is on your left.
Option 3 (not recommended!): If you happen to enter from the Nevada street side you'll take the long hallway to the right of the foyer area and walk to the end and you'll see the elevators to your left. Take the elevators down and follow the directions in Option 1.
Parking:
You should be able to park anywhere around the school of music for free on a Sunday. I suggest Oregon Street, the parking garage underneath Krannert (also on Oregon directly across from the School of Music), or on South Gregory street. Oregon is the closest and should have plenty of parking. The intersection of Oregon and Gregory is currently closed, but you can drive around the other direction to get on Oregon street in front of the music building.
A small map is posted in the discussion area. The square points out the School of Music and the arrows show the two entrances on the Oregon Street side. Feel free to bring any snacks.
