Intro to Tree Pruning

Learn healthy ways to trim your trees at Intro to Tree Pruning on Monday, Feb. 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the ()*.

$25/person. Registration will close Feb. 16 or when capacity is reached. All sales are final.

*Limited parking spots are available in the lot near the Noel Welcome Garden and along South Lincoln Avenue. Additional parking is available in the lot south of the Japan House. Parking is free after 5 p.m. and on weekends.

About the instructor

is the Horticulture Educator for serving Champaign, Ford, Iroquois, and Vermilion counties in central Illinois. He has more than 20 years’ experience as an arborist and forester after earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree in forestry from Southern Illinois University. Ryan has past work experience as a certified arborist, forest hydrologist, and USDA-NRCS Area Forester in southern Illinois.

Currently, he specializes in forestry, tree care, and the use of native plants in both landscaping and restoration settings. He is the author of the which discusses a wide variety of plant-related topics specific to Illinois.
