As spring arrives and the sun starts to return, let’s bring even more warmth to the streets of Uppsala—one hug at a time. The Free Hugs movement is about simple, genuine human connection. No special occasion needed—just open hearts and a willingness to spread joy.

Sunday, August 24th at 12:00 PM
Meet under the bridge at Uppsala Central Station, and we’ll begin a joyful walk through the city center.
🌟 How It Works:
– Bring your most open heart—and a “Free Hugs” sign if you can! (Cardboard + marker = perfect.)
– Always ask for consent before hugging. Respect everyone’s response—kindness is the key.
– Stay for as long or as little as you like! Your presence makes a difference.

This Free Hugs Walk is part of 7 000 Kramar – Dare to Connect, a growing movement to normalize human contact in a culture that often avoids it. Over 7 000 people in Uppsala live in involuntary loneliness—and each hug given represents one of them.
