The Iron Hammer Paint Competition [Entries due]

How to Enter
To enter Iron Hammer Painting competition 2025, you must purchase you model or models in store from1st of January 2025 till the 30th of June 2025
Proof of purchase will be required when entering the competition.

ENTRY GUIDELINES
All miniatures entered must have been purchased in store (Gamers Village).
Entries do not have to adhere to in-games rules in terms of weapons, mounts. The entries are governed by the category descriptions.
Entries must be attached to the base, plinth, or display, such as by adhesive, magnets, or a similar method. Entries which contain loose miniatures or display elements will not be accepted.
Entries must be handed in in-person at the prier to the event, by the person who painted them - no one else can hand your entry in for you.
Each participant may only enter each category once

What do the judges look for?
The judges have no set level when it comes to entry – as long as it looks amazing, there are no rules as to how you go about it. Judges will look at the paint work, style and the unique


CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS
1.Gunpla
Any Gunpla Model can be entered at a scale no larger than 1/144 scale.

2.Open
Any model or Miniature from any brand which does not fit in the other category or a mix from any other category's describe here.


3.Single Miniature
single miniature – including miniatures mounted on smaller vehicles and creatures like bikes, jetbikes, and beasts. This category is open to everything from Ratlings to Terminators, Ork Warbosses, Tech-Priest Domini, and even characters like Maugan Ra, Illuminor Szeras, Daemon Princes, and Roboute Guilliman, Star Wars, Moonstone.

4.Large Single Miniature/Vehicle/Walkers and Monster
This category is for any single vehicle/Walker and Monster or large miniature mounted on an appropriately sized base. This includes tanks, walkers, flyers, and monsters – everything from Falcon grav-tanks to Baneblades, Nemesis Dreadknights to Plagueburst Crawlers, Trygons to Aeldari Avatars, or Greater Daemons and named characters like the C’tan Shard of the Void Dragon, The Silent King.

5.Diorama
This category is for scenic displays, mounted on an appropriately sized base no bigger than 150mm x 150mm x 150mm. there are no restrictions on the battle scene’s theme or content.

6.Unit
Unit size 2 to 3 miniature, the unit may be displayed on an appropriately sized base(s). This includes miniatures on foot, and miniatures mounted on bikes, jet bikes and beasts, provided they are organised into a unit of two or three miniatures. This includes everything from Tyranid Warriors, XV8 Crisis Battle suits, and Aeldari Shining Spears.

7.K*ll Team/Warband/Squads
K*ll team/warband/Squads size 5 to 10 miniatures, they may be displayed on an appropriately sized base(s). This includes miniatures on foot, and miniatures mounted on bikes, jet bikes and beasts.

8.Neophyes
Neophyes is exclusively open to competitors aged up to 16 years old. The Neophyes competition is for any open single miniature. The entry should be mounted on an appropriately sized base if applied. This can be anything from a Space Marine or a Fyreslayer to star wars or Gunpla, Moonstone




PRIZING

Each Category will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd, trophy, with the winner of each category receiving a gift voucher valued to a min of $100.
The overall winner will receive a gift voucher valued to a min of $400 and the grand prize Trophy. The Iron Hammer.

EVENT TIMELINE
This Event will Commence on the 1st of January 2025 and end on the 1st of November 2025.
From 1st of January 2025 till the 30th of June 2025 you will be able to buy your model for this competition, either in store or online.
From 1st of January 2025 till the 30th of September you will have time to complete the building and painting of your model/s.
We will start Accepting entrees models from the 8th of September to the 30th of September.
(No Extra time past this will be allowed)
Judging will be held during the month of October and models will be displayed in store
The draw will be held on the 1st of November and results will be announced and prizes will be awarded.
