8th Annual Community Service Appreciation Luncheon (Lee's Summit MO)

Join us as we celebrate the organizations and volunteers who give so generously of their time, talent, and treasure to make our community stronger.

This special Thanksgiving-season luncheon brings together Community Service Organizations (CSOs) — the groups who serve and support — with the Nonprofit organizations whose missions make a difference every day. It’s a chance to recognize everyone who keeps our community thriving and to spark new partnerships that create lasting impact.

Examples: Civic clubs, education organizations, Rotary, Lions, Optimists, Kiwanis, Masons, VFW and others. 

• Purchase a Table of 8 for your members ($25 per person).
• Your group will be recognized during the program and will have up to 2 minutes to share about your work, and highlights from 2025. Please come prepared with remarks.
• Please send your organization name, logo, and 1–3 photos to Anne Aubuchon () by November 6 so we can highlight your group on screen.

Examples: Charitable organizations, social service agencies, and local 501(c)(3)s.

• Up to two representatives are welcome to attend ($25 per person).
• This is your opportunity to connect with local service clubs and volunteers who may take an interest in your mission.
• Please send your organization name, logo, and 1–3 photos to Anne Aubuchon () by November 6 so we can highlight your group on screen.

This annual tradition gives us all a moment to give thanks — to the people and organizations who make our community a better place to live. You’ll enjoy a wonderful lunch, hear uplifting stories of service, and discover opportunities to collaborate with others who share your passion for making a difference.

This event was founded in 2018 by Carl Chinnery and others in the Lee's Summit Rotary. He was inspired by another Rotary location who celebrated the Community Service Organizations in their community, and believed there were many organizations in Lee's Summit that deserved to be celebrated as well. This event space graciously hosted by Unity Village, who also hosts the Lee's Summit Rotary weekly on Thursdays.
