I verket Besvärjelsen lutar sig Lisa Nyberg mot muntliga berättartraditioner för att ta publiken på en resa igenom arv, gåvor, ansvar och myter i ett försök att knyta an till en plats. Genom upprepade fraser, gester och frågor tvinnar hon samman historiska fragment till en tråd som sträcker sig från det avlägsna till det intima.
Art and Truth-Telling
Vad räknas som sanning? På vilka sätt kan konsten vidga språket för sanning och processerna för sanningssägande? Art and Truth-Telling [Sanningar genom konsten] uppmärksammar Sanningskommissionen för det samiska folket på den svenska sidan av Sábmie. Med vuöllie [jojk], duöjjie [samisk slöjd], teckning, installation, arkitektur och glaskonst lyfter utställningen konstens roll i formulerandet av personliga och kollektiva sanningar.

Art and Truth-Telling
What counts as truth? In what ways can art expand the language of truth and the process of truth-telling? Art and Truth-Telling marks the process of the Truth Commission for the Sámi people on the Swedish side of Sábmie. Through vuöllie [joik], duöjjie [Sámi crafts], drawing, installation, architecture and glasswork, the exhibition highlights the role of art in shaping personal and collective truths.
