Join us for an exciting and informative evening as we welcome two incredible speakers who are making a real impact on education and conservative values in Alabama:
Dr. Earl H. Tilford – Dr. Tilford grew up across the South as the son of a Presbyterian minister and earned his BA and MA in History from the University of Alabama, followed by a distinguished career in Air Force intelligence, including service in Southeast Asia. He is the author of multiple books on U.S. Air Force operations and the Vietnam air war, and most recently Turning the Tide: The University of Alabama in the 1960s.
Since moving to Tuscaloosa in 2008, Dr. Tilford has been at the forefront of efforts to protect academic integrity and challenge ideologies like Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in our universities. He founded Alabamians for Academic Excellence and Integrity (AAEI), and in 2023, he co-published Going Woke in Dixie?: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the University of Alabama and Auburn University. Dr. Tilford has testified multiple times in favor of legislation ending DEI at publicly funded institutions in Alabama, including the successful SB 129 in March 2024.
Maddie Franklin – Turning Point USA – Maddie is a dynamic young leader with Turning Point USA, an organization founded by Charlie Kirk to promote conservative values on campuses and empower the next generation of conservative leaders.
