David Rodríguez, better known as Maquiol, was born in the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. He is a bachata and salsa dancer who is dedicated to promoting the Dominican dance, music and culture.
David "Maquiol" Rodríguez found his passion for dance at a very young age. As a boy he had a dream of being able to travel and be a great dancer representing the Dominican culture all over the world.
In 2015 Maquiol joined the famous dance company Fusión Latina and was one of the main dancers for three years until he decided to start his own school Pasión Latina teaching bachata, merengue and salsa. In 2018 Maquiol competed and won first place in the most popular bachata street contest in the eastern part of the country.
Maquiol is known for his great energy and enthusiasm performing and as an entertainer and animator in big events. He currently lives in Sweden where he teaches and promotes the Dominican culture.
Enrique Patterson
Professional dancer and dance teacher. Cuban, with extensive and profound experience in teaching, choreography, and staging for both large and small productions, in Sweden as well as internationally.
Knowledgeable in many dance styles such as jazz, street dance, hip-hop, Latin urban dance, reggaeton, reparto, afrobeat, salsa, samba, feminine styling, cabaret, Afro-Cuban dance, etc.
