In 2022, Jeff Mitchell thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail’s 2,195 miles from Georgia to Maine. Along the way, he witnessed amazing landscapes and met incredible people who restored his faith. The Appalachian Trail is a trail of people and they taught Jeff lessons about himself and the world around him. This year, Jeff published Lessons Beyond the Horizon, a book about his experiences on the trail. During this presentation, Jeff will share his journey with photos of the trail’s natural beauty and people. He will tell stories about these people, most of them complete strangers, who inspired and motivated him. In our divided times, they were beacons of kindness and generosity. Jeff will be available to sign copies of Lessons Beyond the Horizon, which can be purchased on Amazon.com. A limited number of copies will also be for sale at the Dietrich Theater.
