As Christians, it can be very easy to fall into the rhythm of our lives where we aren’t growing as Christians. Many of us have a schedule of weekly worship attendance, which is great, but it is incomplete for growth in the Christian life.
One principle Rev. Matt Patrick talks a lot about is “Worship + 2,” which is the idea that if you are worshipping weekly, but also have a place to learn and a place to serve, then Christian growth is almost assured. However, if you don’t have all three of these components, this growth becomes very difficult.
We want the members of our congregation to have a chance to commit to the principle of “Worship +2,” so we will be having a potluck lunch on Sunday, September 7 following our worship service. At the lunch, there will be information about all of the learning and service opportunities that are available.
We firmly believe that if you commit to weekly worship, and if you commit to a learning and service opportunity for this fall, your Christian growth will be a natural outflow.
We invite you to join us for this event on September 7.
