Explore the wonders of space at our FREE Community Night! In collaboration with Discovery Lab, we’re hosting a fun-filled evening, perfect for families and small groups.
Meet an Astronaut! 🚀🌌 We’re thrilled to welcome Commander John B. Herrington—the first enrolled citizen of a Federally recognized tribe (Chickasaw Nation) to fly in space—for a special astronaut chat during Space Week!
CDR Herrington’s incredible career spans Naval Aviation, deep-sea missions as a NASA aquanaut, and spaceflight aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour, where he logged three spacewalks and traveled over 5.6 million miles.
Since retiring from NASA, he’s devoted his life to education, mentorship, and inspiring the next generation of explorers. He even biked 4,300 miles across the U.S. to connect with Native youth and students in STEM!
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear firsthand stories of space travel, exploration, and perseverance from someone who has truly been there.
