🦌 Keep It Tradish: Pemmican Workshop 🫐
Thursday, January 22nd | 6pm – 8pm | Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness
Join us for an installment of The Keep It Tradish Series, where we highlight ancient dishes in a modern kitchen! This hands-on Pemmican Workshop will focus on traditional Indigenous food preservation; using venison, dried berries, and rendered tallow, participants will learn how to make pemmican cakes designed for long-term storage and nourishment.
Together, we’ll cover the full process — drying meat, rendering tallow, and combining ingredients — while sharing cultural context around pemmican as a sustaining travel and survival food. This workshop centers food sovereignty, ancestral knowledge, and practical skills you can carry forward.
