This workshop class will teach you to make your own hanging ghost decorations from fabric scraps for $8 per person (suggested age 12+ for sewing).
If you would like to bring your own supplies you are welcome to do so, Ms. Eades will also include a $3 discount on the class if you decide to bring your own materials. The class includes an easy hand sewing lesson for the button eyes. Total craft time is less than 60 minutes.
Needed Supplies:
sewing needle and thread,
3 buttons (2 for eyes, and 1 for hanging rope/string),
fabric scrap(s),
ribbon/decorative string,
stuffing for pillow/plushie or a Styrofoam ball as an alternative to the stuffing,
rope/string/fishing line to hang it from when finished.
This craft is very simple, the sewing takes the most time of any of the steps. So I will be having 2 class periods this day. The first class will start between 11-11:30am. After everyone has finished their ghosts I will clean up the workspace and prep things for the next class at 2-2:30pm. (if time permits I may squeeze a third class in near 3:30-3:45pm)
Examples of fabric scraps you might have around your house: T-shirts with holes in them, old jeans, bed sheets or pillow cases you replaced, towels with stains on them. Just make sure to wash your up-cycled fabric so it's clean while you work with it.
