Playing with Patina: Copper State Edition

Arizona is called the Copper State for a reason — and in this workshop, we’ll let that legacy inspire us! Join me, Leslie owner and artist of Le French Hen. Together, we’ll explore Dixie Belle’s Patina Collection, a magical line that transforms ordinary paint into weathered, timeworn finishes with the look of real rusted metal and verdigris copper.
You’ll create a one-of-a-kind Copper State wall hanging, layering patina paints and activators to mimic the desert’s stunning palette of copper, turquoise, sun-bleached stone, and weathered iron. ✨
Here’s what you’ll learn:
🎨 How to apply Dixie Belle Patina Paints & Sprays
🧡 Techniques for layering and blending to build depth
🌿 Ways to highlight texture and create authentic aged finishes
🌞 Tips for adding that “just right” desert vibe
No experience is needed — just bring your curiosity and love for artful experimentation. You’ll leave with a finished wall hanging and the know-how to keep playing with patinas on future projects.
