Ordination and Installation of Pedro Ramos Goycolea
Pedro Goycolea will be ordained and installed as pastor at Shalom Mennonite Church, Tucson, AZ, this weekend (28th October 2025). Pedro is a graduate of DSF/PSR (M.Div., 2012) and originally from Sonora, Mexico. Pedro and his wife, Alejandra, joyfully responded to a deep call to ministry that led them to serve in the United States. He is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). His ministry journey includes serving as Associate Pastor at Eden UCC in Hayward, California, and as Program Director for the New Mexico Faith Coalition for Immigrant Justice. Pedro’s ministry is deeply rooted in social justice, engaging the intersections of colonialism, mestizaje, and liminal spaces, always seeking to reflect God’s love and grace in action.
Outside of ministry, he enjoys cooking, reading fiction, watching movies, and coaching baseball. Pedro lives in Sahuarita, Arizona, with his wife Alejandra and their two children, Santiago and Agustín. Please remember Pedro and his family in your prayers this weekend.
