Yeehaw, Kino Community! Get ready to kick up your heels for our annual Kino Hoedown! It's one of our favorite traditions and the perfect way to spend a fall evening with the whole family.
Join us for a fun-filled evening with live music, games, a cozy fire pit, and, of course, our favorite animal friends from the Animal Center. The food will be fantastic because it's a potluck feast—please bring your favorite dish to share with the community! To ensure everyone has a comfy spot and can see after sundown, please bring your own folding chairs and a flashlight!
Costume Up!
Kids (and adults!) are welcome to wear costumes! Feel free to dress up as a cowboy, a cowgirl, a spooky ghost, or whatever inspires you. A quick rule: Please leave all weapons (even plastic ones) at home to keep the event safe and fun for everyone.
Fundraiser Fun!
While admission and most activities are free, we'll have a few ways for you to support our amazing Kino Animal Center! You can buy Jim Click Raffle Tickets for a chance to win a new car, a trip, or cash; create your own custom Kino gear by tie-dyeing T-shirts; try your luck at Chicken "Bingo"; or get a Tarot reading. Please bring cash, a check, or your Zelle info for these extras, as all proceeds (unless otherwise indicated) go directly to caring for our animals.
🚗We know parking is tight, so we ask that all parents park in the school parking lot and walk down to the Animal Center. We'll reserve Animal Center parking for teachers and leave space for anyone who needs to load/unload food or decorations. Please do not park on 1st Avenue--they will ticket you! However, you can park across the street on Camino de Fray Marcos (or any other side street).
We can't wait to see you there! Get ready for a night of community, costumes, and classic Kino fun!
