Adam Hawley is one of smooth jazz's most decorated artists — a guitarist, producer, songwriter, and educator whose rise has been nothing short of remarkable. Handpicked by Maurice White, founder of Earth, Wind & Fire, to debut on his legendary Kalimba Music label, Hawley now helms his own imprint, MBF Entertainment, and has amassed an extraordinary 19 Billboard #1 hits across seven albums.
His accolades include the 2025 Billboard #1 Artist of the Year, #1 Mediabase Artist of the Year in 2024, and Billboard Song of the Year in both 2022 and 2020. His debut single, "35th St.," had the longest run at #1 on Billboard in 2016, and he was named Debut Artist of the Year by both Smooth Jazz News and Jazz Trax.
Before launching his solo career, Hawley was a prolific guitarist to the stars, sharing stages with Jennifer Lopez, Natalie Cole, Brian McKnight, Brian Culbertson, and Gerald Albright, among others. He also served as a guitarist in the American Idol house band during live TV broadcasts.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, where he earned his bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in Studio/Jazz Guitar, Hawley brings both virtuosity and depth to every performance. With 80 shows performed in 2024 alone, his commitment to live music is unmatched
