Clay Construction: Build It Up! with Duncan Cecil

This class covers how to construct objects, vessels or whatever we come up with, using different hand building techniques (slab, coil, etc.). The goal is to learn the temperament of clay and leave with confidence in constructing objects with it.

Duncan’s creative journey has crossed multiple mediums, feeding a deep curiosity for artistic exploration. It all began when he discovered the vibrant world of 3-D art while attending Presbyterian College. Realizing clay could be transformed into far more than coffee mugs forever changed his creative outlook.

A recent Converse University graduate, Duncan is passionate about advancing his own artistic endeavors and endeavors and empowering others in local art communities to do the same.
