Our Autumn 2025 Crochet Blanket Workshop is 'Stara Woods'
Inspired by Katharina Szekacs Snowflake Hexagon pattern, this blanket uses mosaic crochet in the round to create its striking central snowflake motif.
Truro Wool's Julie has further built on this, framing each motif with an unusual back-post joining technique that gives every panel a perfect border, ultimately bringing everything together to create this joyful blanket.
Over six relaxed, friendly sessions, you’ll start with a detailed demonstration of the core technique, plus guidance on reading the pattern, before getting going on your first motif. In the following sessions, Julie will guide you step-by-step through the intricate design as you make the 32 colourful hexagons needed - and then join them into your finished blanket.
Meeting between 11th September and 13th November, you’ll enjoy the encouragement and shared progress of a small group - perfect for keeping motivation high. It’s a wonderful way to take your crochet skills to the next level, master a technique that looks tricky (but is surprisingly approachable), and create a cosy blanket ready for snuggling under during those winter movie nights!
