Philleigh Folk presents Du Glas and also Anna Anise
Du Glas are Cornish renegrades with a fierce attitude and a sound that fuses Americana, folk-rock and rebellion. Led by Lucy's theatrical vocals and Anthony's punchy song writing, their music spans miners, mutiny and murder. Not only in Cornwall they have rocked their way across the south of England wooing audiences with their thumping rhythms and rousing tunes. Their albums Too Many Ghosts and Edge of the World earned praise from Folk London and Radio.
We have invited Anna Anise along a singer/songwriter to play a couple of songs. She is running a crowdfunding campaign to create a new album that will use the Cornish language. And Sid and Tim will give us song or two to dream of cats, ships and Bob Dylan, sounds a good evening.
