Troy Art Block Community Night Out: A Celebration of Troy’s Creative Spirit
Get ready for an extraordinary summer evening as the Troy Art Block Community Night Out arrives on Friday, August 29th, sponsored by The Ruck & Fiddlehead Brewing Company. Presented by the Arts Center of the Capital Region!
The Arts Center of the Capital Region invested in the Art Block as a community space blending together the art, entertainment, and restaurant scenes along the Church St. corridor. Our Community Night Out is a celebration of that new legacy.
The award-winning Troy Art Block, boasting 28 incredible murals, will truly come alive. The open-air gallery will host live painting and artist demonstrations as well as backyard games, a live DJ set, and giveaways.
We're thrilled to feature Troy Art Block mural artist Alicia Lea, who will lead a family-friendly live painting demonstration and showcase her artistic talents. In honor of Troy Night Out’s ARTS & BEATS theme, Julie Brown & Bekah Fly will be in the alley for live artmaking and performances alongside DJ AYO spinning tunes.
Our late summer evening outing will be made complete with refreshments from Fiddlehead Brewing Company, who will be in the alley with specialty beers, swag giveaways, and a raffle to benefit local artists.
